Starting February 24th we’re delighted to bring you an evening of words and wonderful people. It’s a relaxed environment where players get to move around and challenge each other – and while enjoying our delicious food and wonderful drinks. All are welcome.

Delicious homemade fish goujons from our local fish monger – Out of the Blue – Served with fries, salad and fresh tartare sauce.

We are delighted to announce that Maria Demspey has agreed to come and join the Nip and Tipple as our Head Chef. Maria has extensive cooking experience and has successfully run several of her own business

Her focus is on fresh and tasty food made from scratch and she will be extending our vegetarian menu in the coming few weeks.

Our Open Mic night takes place very LAST Thursday of the month apart from Feb 2015 when we’ve moved it to the following week – the 26th of March. It is run by the ridiculously talented Sarah Higham and each month she lays down a themed gauntlet.

The theme for March is ‘Get your Madge On’!

This is one of our favourite and most popular nights.

If you have an urge to perform, come on down – we’re a nice crowd and you’ll get a real buzz. It’s a great space for the new and established performer. Email slhigham88@gmail.com to book your slot. It gets busy so get in early.

Join the Rag Bags on the last Sunday of the month from 7pm-9pm for a couple of hours of chat and creativity. We get together to learn and share any crafts we are interested in. It doesn’t have to be rag rugging!

Come along to the Nip and Tipple, join the Rag Bags and create beauty out of chaos.

Please let all your friends now they are welcome to join us and that this is now a meeting of friendly crafters with a drink and a chat and no charge.

Rag Bags meet every month in the Nip and Tipple with our rag rugging projects. We get together and learn a raggety type craft each time depending on what people want. Just bring yourself and rags to use in different crafts. We have hessian swatches and tools for you to practice rag rugging.

This is a list of possible activities that we could choose to do and let us know of any that you are particularly interested in: Plaited mat, Ragged dreadlocks, Ragged pom-pom, crochet flower with rags, knitted rag bag, spun rags for yarn, woven rags, woven basket making with rags, coiled basket, patchwork, embroidered rags, Woven strips to make a cushion and ragged corsage flower.
